Made from a radial offcut of a Robinia tree sourced in Rudow, Berlin, this unique trivet celebrates the natural structure of the wood. The radial grain creates a striking pattern that draws the eye and gives the piece its distinctive character.
Sanded to an exceptionally fine 18,000 grit, the surface feels remarkably smooth, almost like glass. This meticulous finishing brings out the details of the grain and creates a beautiful contrast between the wood’s natural pattern and its silky-smooth feel.
Finished with hemp oil and my own Cedar & Oak wood wax, the trivet is a functional piece of local woodcraft, designed for use beneath teapots, pots and other suitable kitchen vessels.
